Stari Most

Stari Most (Scots: Auld Brig) is a reconstruction o a 16t-century Ottoman brig in the ceety o Mostar in Bosnie an Herzegovinae that crosses the river Neretva an connects twa pairts o the ceety. The Auld Bridge stuid for 427 years, till it wis destroyed on 9 November 1993 bi Croat forces durin the Croat–Bosniak War. Subsequently, a project wis set in motion tae reconstruct it, an the rebiggit brig opened on 23 Julie 2004.

Ane o the kintra's maist recognizable landmarks, it is an aa considered ane o the maist exemplary pieces o Islamic airchitectur in the Balkans an wis designed bi Mimar Hayruddin, a student an apprentice o the famous airchitect Mimar Sinan.

Beautiful reconstruction of the ancient bridge destroyed in 1993. Watching divers jump off the bridge is a spectacular sight.
